TOPIC #2 - CONFLICT

The most important element in plot is conflict.  Choose one of the stories we read in class in which the main character faces both internal and external conflicts.  Discuss the major conflicts faced by the character and indicate how each conflict was resolved.  Support your answer with examples from the story.

Your answer should be written as a paragraph with a topic sentence.  The topic sentence should include the title and author of the story you have chosen.

In the short story "Button Button" I think the lady had a lot of internal and external conflicts. They wasnt wealthy at much , and she had to choose to kill someone for money. She knew her husband didnt like the idea much so she sorta hide it. She was loosing her breath trying to figure out what she was gonna do. She never really thought that it could be her turn , for the button to be pushed on her one day. But in the short story "Button Button" I Think Norma Had The Most internal and external conflict

The internal conflict in the story "Lady or The Tiger" is the princess deciding between directing her lover to door with the lady, or the door with the tiger.

The major conflict In the story " Button, Button" is that Norma was tempted to push the button but Author didn't want her to. It was resolved by Norma pushing the button and author dying. It's internal because Norma was struggling with her decision. Rather to push the button or not.

in the story "Button Bottun" the conflict was that Norma & Author had to choose money or somebody being killed. But Author didn't choose the money. Norma internal conflict is that she wants the money so she be stressing at night so she finally push the button after her husband told her not too. Then her husband dies ~

In the story “lady and the tiger" there was a external & internal conflict. The external and internal conflict was that the daughter had to choose wether to put her jeasouly to the side or let her lover die. In other words the princess had to choose her lover destiny and pick which door he should open. The princess knows the right door would she help him or kill him ?
